Default retrofit questions!!

alright i got some projectors to retrofit my integra headlights but the problem is each of them are off different cars!
1 is from a mercedes amg and i dont know what the other 1 is for i got them for free so i couldnt pass them up, i know the amg use d1s bulbs and IDK about the other 1, both different in length and size
so my question is can i still retro fit it to my integra headlights?? can i modify the projector to make it accept the same size bulbs so i dont have to buy 2 different types? il post pics of the 2 projectors....
any input will help thanks!!!

Sure, you can still retro them. I'm not familiar with either one of those projectors, but it'd be a good idea to fire them up and see what they look like. Just about every projector has its own signature beam pattern and cut off step. Most of which can be modified in some way. I'd see what they look like first, then decide if you want to spend the time with the retro.

Why would you want to shorten the distance? To give them a more similar length? By adjusting the lens spacing, you'll either sharpen or soften the cutoff. By the looks of it, there's too much of a difference in size to make them equal in length and not adversely effect the cut off. You'll almost certainly have one projector out of focus by doing so. Literally, +/- 1 mm in spacing can make the cutoff fuzzy.

Also, if you change out one of the bulb holders to match the 2nd projector, you'll need to pay attention to how it seats. If the bulb is too far in or out of the bowl, that will also effect the beam pattern.

I'd personally buy another projector to match one of the two you already have. Either that, or retro the ones you have, but leave them as is. The important thing is the beam pattern and how it lights up the roadway. No one can see the projectors after they're in the car.
