Replacing NSX with a RSX, opinions welcome.
Due to circumstances and practicality Im looking at replacing my NSX thats for sale with a Type S. Ive been looking locally just so I can drive one. I had a DC years back and loved it but am curious how the DC5's drive with the McPherson suspension.
I know it seems a bit like a downgrade but what can ya do. Trying to figure out if Im going to get bored with it or if there's enough potential for the car to still be fun while also being a practical daily driver (year around).
Is everyone overall happy with the car? Anything else you may have wanted instead after you purchased your car?
Was looking at maybe a subaru wrx since they can be had for so cheap these days but cant get into the scene. Feel like its an STi or nothing sort of deal.

Under 12k, I'd like to pay cash for it and enjoy no car payment for awhile. I figured the downgrade comment may spark some conflict lol. But really its just a car, they come and go. Unfortunately its just not realistic to own right now.
White is a must, never had a white car and have always wanted one. Would be getting an interior swap immediately.

hit clubrsx for sale threads, there is always a ton for sale on their...the suspension didnt really do it for me in the dc5, i upgraded to full body coils and was much happier
I just signed up actually. Tracked down a white one with interior swap but is east coast.
Coilovers will be a must, get a nice set of wheels and proper stance and I'm happy with the overall look.

If you're looking at a used WRX or STi, instead of the RSX, I'd probably stay away from those since most of the people who have them don't get them for casual driving. Finding 1 that hasn't been driven hard might be tricky.
Its a great car. (34 year old driver here) Suspension and tires are a must, other than that, so long as the modding bug doesnt bite you, you'll be fine. I toyed with the idea of buying an NSX a few years ago, but decided it just wasnt a practical DD. Honda tech is a great forum, but ClubRSX.com is MUCH better for the RSX.
Really its not, its doable, but with some sacrifices. I know those that DONT own one will give me the "cry me a river you drive an NSX" but its true lol. Its the little inconveniences that build up that make it impractical. Overall its not impossible and the car isnt unreliable.
You definitely should own a secondary vehicle even if you want to daily the NSX. Seeing as I cant have two cars right now it must go.
Intentions with the RSX is to get some nice wheels, slam it, good sound system, and enjoy a vehicle I dont have to dump endless money into for awhile. When I want another money pit, Ill buy another NSX
This time not a fixer upper thats for sure.

Learned that the hard way today. Pulled the right axle to replace the inner boot to fit a small slit in the outer boot. Overnighted the part this afternoon from a dealer but because no one has them have to wait till Tuesday.
My daily driver NSX is torn apart in my stall at work lol. Awesome.
