I have a little predicament here. Tried searching here, but came up with nothing.

The stock B-series flywheel bolts that I have are about 2mm too long for me to use on my Clutchmasters twin disc setup (didn't find out until the flywheel became loose after a hard pull). Long story short, the flywheel bolts bottomed-out into the crankshaft end, and didn't 'bite' down hard enough on the flywheel.

So I ordered the ARP bolts w/out any knowledge of them being even longer than the stock bolts. My trans is out, and I need to get it back on ASAP.

I hear D-series bolts are shorter, so I checked a couple of Honda dealer sites (Majestic Honda, and San Leandro Honda) to make sure, but they don't give specific length of the bolts like the other bolts they have listed. It just says "12mm." But I do see that they have different part numbers between the D-series and B-series.

Before I go ahead and order the D-series bolts, can anyone confirm that they are in fact shorter than the B-series ones?

Have you considered just cutting the ARP bolts shorter?

 

I have, but my local machine shops don't have a die with the same thread pitch to put on the bolts before grinding them down.
