Me and my brother bought a Jdm engine and the receipt said D15b but the block is stamped D16B its a Non-vtec sohc? vc kinda looks like a Y8 vc, Wiki'd it and apparently it doesn't exist?

EG1 - '92 - '95 CRX Esi 2dr = 1.6l SOHC VTEC = D16B

But its not vtec ._. so the mystery continues and when we bought it the guy even said it was a Jdm D16 and we bought it from the local Jdm depot (Plus I can read..)

Yes. This engine does exist but mainly in the Euro market.
