1992 Honda EG weird idle on hot days with aircon on
Airon works fine on hot days.
Just on hot days when im idling with aircon on the idle seems to go from 900rpm to 1400 rpm every 4 seconds or so. Is this from the radiator fan kickin in and out or the compressor in and out?
Only happens on really hot days with the aircon on. Normal warmish days aicon on. Idles fine.
Honda EG Civic with B18c7.
Standard no mods.

Cause on hotter days the motor must work harder to produce the same power.
Try doing an idle relearn and it might solve it. If not I wouldn't worry too much.
disconnect your negative battery terminal for 5 minutes
Make sure all electrical items are turned off.
Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at
3,000 rpm with no load (in Park or Neutral) until
the radiator fan comes on(you'll hear it).
Let the engine idle for about 5 minutes with the
throttle fully closed and with all electrical items
off.

Yes Aircon Condensor fan kicks iin perfectly as it should.Just weird seeing that idle. Aircon is cold too. I will probably ignore it,. Thanks for the instructions
The behavior of the A/C and idle speed is not normal. Hook up a manifold gauge set to check the high and low side pressures. It's possible the system is overfilled with refrigerant.

Yeah sound like a its over filled... if its really hot where ur living ur gauges should be at 30/35 on low side and about 150 ish on high side... being to full will make ur compressor clutch Come on and off A LOT and the car will idle like crap and almost seem as if its bogging out.
