Hondata s300 questions
I have a Hondata s300 that came with my civic. I use this car for daily driving... and it is putting out around 360 hp. Is there going to be an advantage for me to get a laptop? Can you monitor how the engine is running through this if I get a laptop? Sorry for the stupid question, I am very new to this stuff.
It all depends.
First you have to learn how the S300 works. you can record what your engine is doing through you laptop.
Being new to this, you are more likely to make mistakes so read up first.

No, lol. He is completely wrong. You DEFINETELY need a wideband unless you are going to have it tuned by someone else who has a wideband. Even then, it's always nice to have one so that you can keep an eye on your A/F ratio's

its already been tuned obviously or itd b running like crap or blown up by now if it hasnt. The wide band can be wired into the s300 so itl show what the motor as far as air fuel ratios. Sounds to me like u should just leave it alone but yes u can monitor all sensor on the laptop with the usb plugged to the ecu. U can also change ignition timing and fueling (along with tons of other stuff) and this is were u can screw up ur motor, so u shouldnt mess with any of the settings. Everything has already been set by the previous owner, i.e a tune.
yes but its only as good as ur factory sensors, like u wont b able to c fuel or oil pressure but u can c injector duty cycle, pulse width, throttle position, speed, rpm, ign adv, bar pressure, map, etc...
