Can i change the auto tensioner on the H22 with my old one while doing the swap?

 

Half of it will work and other half needs to come from the H23A1 engine itself. I cross references all the part number and some components on the F22 are the same as on the H23A1, so yeah, thats what saved me a few bucks. I used both diagram from hondaautomotiveparts.com. Good Luck!

 

damn, guess i gotta spend more money, lol. i was just noticing today when i was doing the water pump and timing belt on the H how much that auto tensioner sucks and the bullshit it would take to put it back together with that.

 

Yup, thats why I swapped it out with the spring loaded setup. Easy as f*ck to do once you converted it.
