if i have a 93 EG SI, doesnt it have the proper equipment to run with the JDM door panels with the power locks, and windows??

wondering if anyone has done this swap, and if so, what all do i need.

 

But won't all the controls be on the opposite doors? Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Just swap RHD JDM window and doorlock controls for USDM LHD, it's a very common swap.

Google is your friend on this one, there are hundreds of pages detailing this swap.

 

Just so you're aware Si hatchbacks didn't come with power lock and windows and aren't prewired for them.

 

i was aware they didnt come with this option.
i just was unsure of the electronics as far as fusebox wise.

 

FBs are all the same, you need to conect the correct wiring etc. Lots of DIYs on this, read up in FAQs

 

Wait...grumblemarc has a point...if you use JDM controls, they'll be opposite so the driver controls will be on the passenger side. If you swap in USDM controls, how will they fit into the armrest panels? They're different size openings, IIRC?

Same size holes on both sides, so yes you can use USDM switches with JDM door panels.

 

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm not sure why I thought they were different sizes....maybe it's because I've seen just the controls for sale and they were different sizes.

a buddie of mine has jdm door panels on his ej1 and has the controls on driver side very common thing to do.
