Running Log - Codename-Project Melanie (92 DA)
Ok guys so I recently bought a 92 DA off a friend and I decided to make a running log. I used to own a 95 DC but unfortunately she was stolen. I did however get her back with everything minus the indash, rims, HIDs, system, and tvs but after having it stolen I just didn't want it anymore so I sold it. Times were tough and I didn't have time or money to rebuild. I know it doesn't sound like much but they tore up the headliner, cut the wire harness trying to de-activate my alarm, and the tow yard that picked up my car from the drop scene, left my car leaning up against another car and caused damage to the rear hatch and quarter panel. So anyways now I have a chance to come back into the game with this little project and I wanna keep a running log to keep you guys updated. Heres some pics of how she sits as of now. The interior is in awesome shape and the outside has dings here and there but nothing major. the worst is the hood but that can be fixed. best part is no quarter panel or under body rust. i love it.
on to the pics.

here are the rims she came with but i quickly sold those for $425 and bought some goodies.

so far heres what i've gotten in the mail.

does anyone know where i can get part #14 in this picture? went to the dealership and no dice. Delray Acura doenst even have it listed here in their parts list but it shows up here in the diagram. =_____=
its used to send positive current to the contact plate of a jdm steering wheel or aftermarket with an adapter hub. heres a link to a write up on team-integra.net. http://www.team-integra.net/sections...ArticleID=1226
ok so i took my steering wheel off today and saw that i have the little piece that i needed from the above picture (part # 14). thank god. i also got around to replacing little clips and push pins that were missing here an there along with some dash and interior side panel screws. also took off my banged up sun visors and installed DC sun visors. here are some pics.

now im just waiting on my Energy Suspension Hypex-Flex Master Kit, RTA bushings, and motor mount inserts to come in so i can install everthing seen here. oh and dont worrt about the LCA bushings, those are being replaced with Energy Suspension bushings too and yes i have the front tokico shocks too. they're just in the shed.

im also not sure if i want to install these. kinda thinking it over. what do you guys think? they came off a 98 GSR i think.

and heres a booty shot. lol. also as you can probably tell by the dust pan stick, my hatch shocks are done. already bent them slightly but i still dont trust it. better safe than sorry. lmao

Tokico HP shocks = crap. I would get better shocks, Koni STR.T's at least if they have them for your application.
Also wouldn't run polyurethane bushings EVER for any suspension bushing. Hard rubber replacement bushings are superior.

ok so i havent been able to update for a while due to work but so far i got my energy suspension master kit about 85% done. just have to install the motor mount inserts, shifter bushings and steering rack bushings. also picked up some GSR blades for a good price, an obd2 b18b1 valve cover, 94 4dr accord oem rear lip, a manual CRX Si steering rack, some really nice fabric to re-do the headliner and door inserts, and alot of other knick knacks here and there. so far i think i've made a good amount of progress. i will be posting updated pictures soon.
ok guys so im back, got to rebuilding my cv axles, installing my manual steering rack, installing my Jasma headers, energy suspension mount inserts, and polishing my blades. also figured out something really cool. while at the junkyard i found a 96 accord with front bilstein shocks and lowering springs. compared them to a DC integra shock and they were 98% identical except for the brake line brackets and the top hats but the DC ones fit just fine and so do the DC forks so i went ahead and got them. as far as the brackets go, i can always ziptie the brake line to the shock. any ways the car should be drivable by next week and as promised, pics of everything will be up soon. i cant wait to get this thing on the road.
