Default Repairing Black Exterior TRIM?

I've been noticing that my exterior trim has been fading through the years, and I was deciding to repaint the metal piece that holds the window wipers black again. Has anyone have recommendation which type of paint I should use? Or any compounds to rub on my rubber exterior trim to make them black again?

Brian

Yeah with a scuff pad so the paint has something to adhere to

You should be able to just buy new wiper arms, they aren't expensive, if Im thinking correctly the part that you are looking to fix.

if your talking about the rubber trim on the quarter windows you can do the same thing but pretty much all the other rubber should just be replaced

This worked for my rubber trim, around my rear side windows.

Cloth + water + dawn dish soap (keep the dawn off the paint, or else, any existing wax will be removed) then rinse and dry.

Next, I used my buffer and applied some ClearKote-Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze (it's for the paint, but it removed the white spotting that was on my rubber trim).

After it dried, I buffed it with the buffer.

Do you think I can use the paint on the two metal plug on the rear windshield and on the metal wiper holders?

I used BBQ paint for the rear brake light plugs and all 3 wipers.
