Whats up guys. I have a 91 civic sedan DX. Like the title says i'm wondering where the microphone is that beeps when your door is open. I'm wanting to remove it this way when my door is open there will obviously be no more annoying beeping. All help is welcome, thanks guys!

 

just disconnect the green plug in the control module located behind the stereo...!!!

The switch is on the opening of the door by the latch. If you push that back and wedge a toothpick into it it will not move thus the door chime is gone.

This way if you ever need to reverse it, it is easy just pull the toothpick.

Lol that's what i'm doing right now except I fold up a little piece of paper and wedge it in there. I just want to have a cleaner look when I open my doors.

or u could of pulled the fuse for it on the underdash fusebox

 

The "speaker" (not microphone) is very annoying and usually the first thing to go when I get a car.

actually you can just break it off of the circuit board inside the integrated control unit thats what I did so I could keep the dome light on when the door opens etc. I tested it first on an extra icu and was glad cause I broke that circuit board.
