F22B1
Is there a good book out there that will guide you through the steps of rebuilding a F22B1? I know there's a book on how to rebuild a B series, but I have not been able to find one on a F22. I'm thinking about just rebuilding the engine since it was severely neglected by the original owner. I need a book that gives torque sequence, numbers, piston ring info, timing. Pretty much a step by step. I don't really want to mod the engine for racing since I use the car as a daily.
Chiltons are ok but I think the helms would be better. I tried looking to see which one I needed of the Helms and it was a bit confusing. Would you say buy it on paper or online version?

Had no idea the dealership would even sell those books to consumers. Figured they would want to keep those items to themselves that way we are stuck having to take the car in.

Gotta find the right dealership. I've had dealerships try and sell me entire wiring harnesses when all I needed was a connector. Others pull 'em right out and hand them over. Also, you can find it online, that's where I got mine for the whole car in .PDF
I would go with a Helm manual, the others (Haynes and Chiltons) don't compare.
I wouldn't pay for those cheap scanned PDF manuals online, if you do you're getting ripped off because they are scans of copy written material (so someone else shouldn't be making money off it) and they can be found for free. Now, don't ask where to get it because I don't know, 1) I have a printed Helm manual so I don't need a PDF version and 2) isn't against site rules so if anyone does know it's not allowed to be posted.
So either buy a printed manual from Helm Inc or search the internet for a free copy of the PDF.

Instead of starting a new thread I figured I would add another question here. I think the rear main seal on my accord is toast. I have degreased the engine, checked around the head, oil pan and this oil leak seems to be coming from in between the engine and transmission.
Would I have to pull the engine to replace the rear main seal? Any write ups on HT?

In my honest opinion the easiest way would be to pull the engine. I have never changed a main seal with the engine in the car. Therefore I am a bit biased. Hopefully someone else that has tried it with the engine in the bay can chime in.
i have done it both ways...for me, i would go with pulling the engine so u can go ahead and replace other seals and gaskets at the same time. it is a pain is the *** to change that seal with the engine in the car and i think it actually took longer and than pulling the motor. you have to take 3 engine mounts off anyways, so whats one more? and putting the engine/tranny back together...MUCH easier with the engine out.
Well, I have finally decided to change the rear main seal this weekend. Just one main thing I forgot to research. How many quarts of oil will I need to refill the transmission?
