sorry to bring this thread back to life but i need to know something. i recently bought 2 used trannys. one was said to have come off of a 91 crx si and the other is said to be off of a 91 civic si. the one that was said to be off a crx is L3-2281075 and the one out of the civic is L3-1326353. i counted the splines on both of them and they both have a count of 20 splines. now i wanna do the test in which i'm supposed to put it in first but i don't know how to put it in first. how do i put it in first and once i get it there, how do i finish the test?

 

there is a thread in the faq section that shows you how to do this...!!!

 

i'm pretty sure i've read that thread and it just tells you to put it in first but it doesn't tell you how.

 

stick a bolt in it twist it to the left and pull back

well i haven't decided which one i'm gonna use. i'll let you know when i install it i noticed that one of them has the two grooves and the other doesn't. according to the pics show in the l3 transmission thread i'm probably gonna use the one with the two notches. btw, i'm in california.
