yes both valve sizes are the same also y7 valves will work as well. unless this is a z6 cam in a y8 or vise versa the cam should be at 0* when u set timing. if u want to adjust it later then do so but most motors it just shifts the power band from down low to more peek hp.

i don't mean to change the subject but i can't start a thread on here.

i have a D16Y7 auto trans from a 98 civic sedan non vtec and a 92-95 D16Z6 engine vtec w/manual trans. can i just bolt the D16Z6 engine right up to the auto trans and hook the intake and exhaust up to and drive it? or would i be better off getting a 96-00 D16Y7 engine and putting it in?
