difference in valves, y5, y8, z6
The reason I'm asking:
cleaning valves for my z6 rebuild, nicked an exhaust valve stem when it launched from my hand!
I have a y5 some guy gave me cause it burnt oil like crazy.
The y5 and y8 valves are the same, the z6 gives a different part number. When you look up valves in the aftermarket (supertech, crower, etc.) they all have the identical application..all y5,y8,z6.
Any ideas would help,
Thanks.

If the aftermarket manufacturers say they are the same, probably will be ok. To be safe take measurements with a reliable caliper if you want to sleep better at night. Just my .02
