Default K20a2 Crx no vtec

I'm going to be running a k20a2 with a stock prb ecu and an immbolizer bypass unit in my crx with no speedo hooked up. Will vtec engage? I've heard vtec won't engage with no speedo attached.

idk the answer to your question, you can rip around the block and find out, try to fix the speedo with newer cluster or switch vss at the tranny and convert it to cable to use your stock speedo, i put a 99 civic si cluster in my crx

dang dude i see this twice on k20a.org and once on here

Yes it will work as long as the ecu is reading it from the vss on the trans.
