What are you guys looking to see more of in 2011? We are trying to improve some things before the season starts, and would like Greasy Blocks to be a home to the drag racing community and be a voice for you guys. Every little bit helps, so this is the time for notes.
Please feel free to post suggestions, give feedback, tell us you hate us, anything! Thats the only way things will get better.
If you want to see a certain someone featured on greasy, let us know as well.

Also, look got Greasy banners and gear at the races.

Also, keep this in mind this year
Greasyblocks is its under its own heading. No matter who advertises, no matter who is posted on GreasyBlocks, GreasyBlocks has its own feel and will never be edited to suit nor will it be a front for companies ideas or bought off. You will see the realest talk on GreasyBlocks weather it be good or bad. So when you read posts on GreasyBlocks, you can be assured that they are the real deal. You can kinda say GreasyBlocks has a mind of its own! That can be good or bad, you make the call. But we care about drag racing, and we want to give to those who want to learn about racing and follow racers.

glad to hear it will always stay unedited and "call it like you see it" style, thats how it should be, good or bad like you said
id like to see/hear more round by round coverage @ any given event. tell the story of the event and how each round plays out for each racer.

This is where our racers and teams come into play. For all that Greasy can do for them, its also the racers responsibility to contact and help get information to the outlets. If you have a racing company, team, or you are a driver interested in seeing the sport grow, you too have to do your part by contacting the media outlets with your information and behind the scenes, as well as videos and bits. Look at the drifters, they have constant contact with their outlets and this is why there is so much information out there. They are not just posting on forums. Same with skating and biking.
Its a collaboration. It gets hard to keep contact with our racers if they do not offer the helping hand as well.
This discussion should have much more if people want their information out and available
I follow your blog through an RSS Reader...some days it has trouble connecting to yours for whatever reason.
How about some Drag Racing terminology explained, or walk through of "Your First Time at the Strip" sort of write-up. You might get some of the less "Seasoned" enthusiasts into the sport that way...

+1 on the etiquette, etc. Maybe solicit some smaller racers too...get people to provide you listings of events that are happening. For example...I know in Tampa there are events called TR track day (Tampa Racing.com) and it draws some great racing. It's all for fun for the most part, but good coverage.
Either way, keep up the good work Ben.

I feel you on the reading, but to draw people to the sport, they have to know whats going on. To make fans, they have to know what they are following, the inside behind it, the scoop, the 411, and this is the only way our sport will grow. We have some people to follow, alot of people, so now its just putting the info/people out there.

I like the "team" idea a lot. As stated maybe a section for the newbs would be great too. I have 3 seasons under my belt and I am still learning everytime I go to the track!! Whatever you decide to do I think you are helping the sport out tremendously and thank you for that!!
Just an idea maybe do a ride-a-long with a "team" to a race. Record the road trip to the race shoot some random pics and dumb stuff that is entertaining while being stuck hauling a car hours away to a race. Maybe some of the prep of getting a car ready to go, then of course then report how the event went down. Kinda like the trip Miller just took, or like the way the UFC has their pre-fight show to hype up a fight. I could think of a few times im pretty sure i could make a movie of me preparing, traveling to and from, and the actual results crappy or not.
