I just picked up a 92 dx with a b18c5 about 2 months ago and now the check engine light is coming on all the time. The check engine light comes on when the car warms up and when it comes on the rpms jump a bit then go back down and ive even had the car die on me once. But as soon as i shut it off it started back up just fine and the light was gone for a few minutes then it came on again. Problem im having is its not throwing any codes when i plug a wire into the plug under the dash by the computer. I dont no if its because of the wiring job the guy did who had the car before me or what. Any help would be appreciated.

 

When the CEL turns on, leave the engine running while you jump the service connector. See tips in the FAQs sticky.
