Stock JDM B18C redline and powerband questions
Guys,
I am in the process of swapping a stock pre-98 JDM B18C in my '93 Hatch.
I'll be running a P28 socketed by Kenny (Turbogixxer) with a base ITR map.

I am in the process of swapping a stock pre-98 JDM B18C in my '93 Hatch.
I'll be running a P28 socketed by Kenny (Turbogixxer) with a base ITR map.
Questions:
- What's the stock redline on this motor? I keep reading different numbers, ranging from low 8000s to 8900rpm. Kenny set the rev-limiter to 8300 if I recall correctly.
- What's the useable powerband of this motor? Does it keep pulling to redline, or do you guys shift sooner?

Seriously man,
This is a "Integra Type R" Forum, not a hybrid forum or all motor forum, on top of that, most of us have b18c5 usdm engine.
Stock redline is 8400rpm, safe to rev to 8600 I would say on stock engine with the right tune... not some off the shelf map... but a tune just for your car and combiniation of mods.

Yeah lol I'm not usually one of the ***** for posting these sort of questions in here but this happens so much lately.
Think of this forum as the ITR chassis forum. :D
It's full of douchebag know nothing self righteous type r owners anyway.

This forum is slowly starting to turn into a hybrid forum. Seems the questions about using ITR parts on other cars are happening a lot more frequently.
And yeah...there are other places to post questions such as this. OP, if you do a search, I'm sure you'll find your answer. After all, this swap was popular in 2001. Your question is about 10 years too late.

I like plug and play though, I didn't want to have to deal with custom motor mounts, grinding etc associated with a K-swap. Also... price.
