Default What am I looking at?

So I picked up this car from my local tow yard. I have some questions and hope anybody might know some knowledge on this vehicle.

Below is the picture of the car. Its a 90 Civic Si. That is according to its title and paperwork. My question is it has factory parts for a 90-91 civic si and is titled as one, but its on an 88-89 si shell. I know this because of the shorter pillars on the doors, different quarter glass, and seatbelts were bolted to the body of the car not the door. But factory 90-91 everything else. Please any thoughts would help as to what i have

Below is, from what i believe, is the factory cluster. It looks possible to me this car was a canadian-spec car somewhere in montreal, or ontario? idk. Its in french though, the CEL says "engine motreul" haha

This is just for fun, can you name all the parts in my room? Yes my room lol. Quite ridiculous.

It's a Canadian 90-91 Si for sure, and i can tell it is stock and has not been switched from an 88-89 model

- the car has 90-91 moldings
- has 90-91 bumpers
- has 90-91 seats and cluster
- ALL EF Canada civic's crx's had pilllar mounted seat belts
- 90-91 Si models has painted mirrors and door handles
- many 90-91 Si's had the front lip

oh yeah...you "should not" be pawning off any parts in this tech thread, that's a no no!

Yes there is rust, and im not sure if those areas from a hatch and crx are the same or not.

Thanks for your help deetz, but you can confirm that they used the 88-89 si shells in canadian spec cars in the years of 90-91? Cause even the seat rails were 88-89 style as well.

The floor pan and seat mounting depends on the style of seat belts used. Cars with door-mounted seat belts (USDM '90-91 only for hatchbacks) used a modified floor pan and reinforced seat rails vs. cars with pillar-mounted belts (all '88-91 hatchbacks everywhere except for USDM '90-91).

I can guarantee you that you have a Canadian-market '90 Civic Si.

Just check the vin under the hood. Kinda hard to swap that one considering its stamped into the metal.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Turns out it indeed is a canadian-spec civic si.

I didn't hear him saying any of his parts are for sale. But tell me you bought this car for how much? Cause it seems like a hell of a lot of work to get it road worthy again.

I did say that at first but it was edited.

Bought the car for 350 dollars towed. And it will not be going back on the road. The body itself had bent inwards from the impact, you can kind of see it on the driver side on the roof.

But this was an investment towards my 89 si in the background and i just wanted some info on this one cause it seemed unique to me.
