Default OBD0 to OBD1 issue, could use help.

Hey I got an amazing deal on a crx and pretty much jumped on it. Its an 88 HF with a b20v in it. I got the good deal due to the fact that the previous owner was having issues, and no longer had the time or money for the project. He also needed money for other things in life. Now I know the motor is good, cause he got the motor from a very close friend of mine not to long ago.

Now onto the issue at hand. The owner before the last converted the car from obd0 to obd1 and did a pretty hack job at that. So when doing the swap the last owner also swapped in an si engine harness. The car starts and runs fine but wont rev past 3500... My understanding of that its running in limp mode. Both the ecu and distributor are obd1, several different distributors and ecu's were used with no luck.

I checked the cel and am getting a code 4.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yupp sounds like a wiring issue. Trace the wires back to the ecu

Check my sig for the proper. Pin outs for the obd1 dizzy plug make sure the wires are in the right location

Yea i dont know who to blame... The 1st owner who did the really bad hackjob, cause i got to see that before the newer owner attempted to fix it with the si harness.
