i got a code 9 on my jdm b16a which is for the cyp sensor is my best bet to just replace the distributer or are there other thing i should try first?

 

Bump.. I got the sane thing on my b16a2 eg hatch. I'm running p06 converted to vtec. Car runs great,, idles at 500-600rpm I can take it to tedline ok with vtec engaging at 5800rpm. Cel is on for code 09-1 cyp sensor. Where can I start to find the problem?

If I buy a new dizzy from autozone what car will I have to say its for?

 

94-95 DEL SOL VTEC (make sure it's not the SOHC VTEC engine)
Or 92-95 Integra GSR

 

Thanks I bought the car with the swap but I also noticed the current dizzy says td87-u? What car is that from? I'm confused on what dizzy to buy.

 

Well I tried a new dizzy and code still came up. Also with the new dizzy the rpms and speedo won't work. So I put the old one back on and returned my new one. What else can I try, I have till next year too pass emissions.

 

If you reset the ECU, does code 9 return?

Have you resistance and short tested the two CYP wires and sensor?

 

Yes I tried resetting the ecu and the light comes back on. No I haven't tested the wires, how and what do i need to test those two wires?
