So i started taking the engine out on my friends 99 EK it has a d16 in it blew, its a vergine so EVERYTHING is harder to take out the hoses were stuck to the engine. when i finally got to taking the axels out they wont even move at all, i got the balljoint out and the suspension bolts at the bottom of the strut, and nothing i put WD-40 hit with hammer and NOTHINGG ANYONE HAVE ANY TIPS? OR TRICKS?
a heavier hammer and pb blaster thats been soaking overnight might
the only to getting that axle out is a hammer and force, no tricks
unless you have access to a press

the machine that shops use to press in bushings/ bearings into tight spots
google for an image, its simply a machine that puts literally tons of force on an object in one direction

for the axles use a big flate head srew driver or a ball joint fork and put it between the trans casing and the axle..dont hit it too too hard hit it around the axle and it should pop out.. goodluck
OP, make sure you put the axle nut on, but not have the axle protruding beyond the nut, to protect the threads and make sure you don't mushroom the axle end while whaling on with a hammer. I used a 12lb short handled sledge to knock my axles free.

hit the side of the spindle with the biggest fing hammer you have.
make sure you hit it parellel with the axle and it should pop out after a couple hits. if not... go to the junk yard and get a used knuckle

leave the bottom ball joint in just until it frees up too so the hub is not moving as you hit it, you only want the shaft to mive not the hub, keeping it solid will give the shaft the full force of your hammer, there is enough movement for the shaft to start moving with the ball joint in anyway!
the timber over the end of the shaft is good too so prevent wrecking the threads!

I bought a spindle with axle attached cuz the guy could not get the nut off. He had tried wd-40 a "compressor"? any hoo I sprayed some pb blaster, opened up the end where the nut meets the axle with a chisel sprayed with pb blaster waited 1 hour and hit it with an impact wrench and it came off.
to remove a frozen axle nut, i have had to actually drill it off. i would drill the nut so it relieves it's grip around the shaft. be careful not to drill too deep and hit the hub or shaft. when it is close enough, i used a chisel to break the nut loose, then use ur 32mm socket to wrench it off.
before i went this route, my impact gun failed to remove it. also used a breaker bar with a 6ft extension and broke it.....

Assuming you got the nut off and the axle is just stuck in the hub, just pound the axle. Soak it well with some penetrating oil. WD-40 is junk, it's fine for squeeky door hinges, but it's not for breaking stuck bolts and stuff.
