d16z6 vtec head on d15z1 block? Turbo.


i want to go this route if it is not too hard to do?
i was thinking on boosting my VX. im new to this and I heard that the d15z1 bottom end etc pistons stock it has dish pistons and when putting on a z6 head the compression will drop. assuming its good for turbo.

Im thinking garret turbo gt3 on it and boosting low boost. someone selling me one on the side. with an ex si trans for better gearing cause the vx trans is hella long.

im a noob and first time head swap. what do i need like tb, head gaskets etc?
will the d16z6 head bolt up fine to the stock d15z1? how reliable is this. will it line up w/out problems etc.???
what ecu to use and how do i rewire it for vtec?

im using this for a daily driver but just want more power? what psi is safe and fast enough?

 

your gonna wanna run a p28 , only wiring your gonna need to do is the 4 wire o2 conversion depending on if your vx is a federal vx or a cali vx. if you dont know pop the hood and check the o2 sensor wires if theres 5 its federal, 4 cali version. im actually looking for a 5 wire o2 sensor and a vx tranny so we can probably work something out. if it is the federal version anyway and isnt throwing code 41 or 43. let me know.

 

i think its a 5 wire sensor. so how do i have to rewire the 5 wire o2 sensor??? i already traded my vx trans for a si trans.
