I have a 90 TEG with a B18c sawp.e an OBD1 P28 ECU. I just installed a new Intake maninfold, (Blox) and a Throttle Body, (Professional Products) and Bloz TPS. I did this because my TPS was bad and I got the TB really cheap. It is a 66mm and it does not have a FIT. My old TB has a FIT that cannot be removed. So, I made a block-off plate and ran the coolant hose from the IACV to the Head.

When I started it up, the idle goes from 800 to 3000RPM and the motor smokes out the exhaustbad enough where it set off a fire alarm in my house. I could not say if it smeeled like oil or gas, The idle change is quick like stomping it to the floor and letting up .
I tried opening the TB butterfly a little since I thought it may be not getting air.

So, could the lack of the FIT casue this?

The other possibility is that I charged my battery without disconnecting any of the wires. I could have hurt the ECU...I hope not.

Pushing on the throttle pedal does not help. Stays same.

Please advise.

 

where on the head is that coolant hose going? Smoke like that makes me a little nervous! Tps, Tbody, or manifold shldnt make it smoke like that. Not in My experiences anyway. Charging Your Batt with it hooked up is No Bueno!!
