Replaced positive battery cable with a used cable. When you crank it all instument lights come on then go off as normal. As soon as you press brake pedal to shift out of park the battery, brake, and open door indicators light up and remain lit while driving. They also seem to flicker while sitting in driveway and running through the gears. Disconnected brake pedal switch and no change was noticed. Could the cable be bad or do I have a short or other electical issue. Any suggestions.

 

Sounds like a short to power issue.
