need help broken bolt waterpump
so waas puttin the mini me in and a buddy snapped the bolt off in the waterpump. ran it on 3 bolts held up for a while but is leaking now. i really dont want to pull the motor... is there anyway to get the bolt out of the block without pullin the whole freakin thing back out?? plz help need to fix asap... car is 93 eg coupe motor b7/z6 mini-me.
There's not really enough room to get at it with the motor in the bay.
How much is left sticking out? Is it flush with the block or is there a stub sticking up? You may be able to grip it and turn it out if it's sticking up, after removing the water pump.
Is there any way to remove the JB Weld? If not, the RTV would probably be a better bet.

same thing happened to me. theres 1 long bolt haha. i just used a ****-ton of hondabond and it held up fine. drain your coolant, loosen the t-belt and remove the waterpump. lean it up and reapply some type of silicone gasket.
^So true. Happened to me too. Made me feel like a hack.
What I did was remove the driver-side motor and torque mounts and then put a block of wood under the oil pan and jacked the left side of the engine as high as possible so that I could drill out the broken bolt and install a new one.
