LogWorks OT2 data logging for obdII cars
anybody familiar with this new iphone app and plug in?
I just recently bought an innovate motorsports ot 2 for obd2 cars 96 and up. It seems pretty simple, plug in, hook up wi/fi to iphone and start playing. 179.00 us dollars. not bad for what its capable of. clearing codes, data log, afr's, fuel economy, etc. it also comes with a usb cable to connect directly to pc.
i know it will work on stock obd2 ecu's, but what if i wanted to use it on say a 96 civic (obd2) with an obd2-obd1 jumper and p28ecu. however the ecu has a obd2 itr base map (p73) thanks to crome. is the ot 2 plug in going to pick up my ecu as an obd2 b/c of the tune? or will it not work at all because its still an obd1 ecu?

even with the obd2 tune?
it seems like the ot2 would pick up the obd2 tune. not disreguard it because its programmed into an obd1 ecu... i could be wrong ill just have to try and see.
if this doesnt work, im gonna have to buy a p73. anybody got one for sale?

It's not an OBD2 tune. Your "P73 basemap" is just that, a basemap for an OBD1 ECU that's based on P73 maps. It's still an OBD1 ECU which runs OBD1 code and cannot communicate with OBD2 protocols.
