My car (95 integra) was stolen and then I got it back but I have to go through auto theft to get my car tagged and back on the road. I bought a jdm ls from JDM engine depot but auto theft won't let me go through with a jdm engine. My buddy said he will let me use his D15 auto out of his ek. How can i rig this engine up just to work for an hour while I go to autotheft and pass my car through inspection. My car is manual. I can put a switch on my reverse lights so I don't have to wire up reverse sensor. I don't want to convert to auto. I only want to make it work long enough to through go through inspection even if it is just stuck in drive. Any advice or theory would be greatly appreciated guys.

 

i dont understand why they wont let you go through with a jdm engine as long as you have the paperwork to go with it.

 

I don't have the paperwork. My best friend had bought it last year and never did his ls/vtec conversion. So he let me have the engine when I got my car back. He says the paperwork is in the land of the lost. Can JDM engine depot re-issue the paperwork?

 

I would see if your friend can get copies of the papwer work from the company to have in hand so you can swap this motor in. Too much trouble just to go through all the changes than sticking in another LS motor.

 

Yeh definitely going to look into that on monday. Hopefully they keep records. Thanx for the idea.
