Default New to CRX/EF thread (needs help buying wagon)

Hi everyone new guy here! So here's my first post and i need your thoughts on buying a wagon. ( I really want one)

So i found a car from oregon and possibly buying it tomorrow (for sure) but 1st i need your comments, suggestions, thoughts, opinions, before i buy this car. So here's the details about it, no rust!

1988 Honda Civic 2wd
Price: $3,490
Mileage: 135,302
Exterior Color: White
Transmission: AUTO
Drivetrain: FWD

Im planning to ship the car with DAS(dependable auto shippers) and i have a quote for $967.00 door to door.
The guy said it is in good/clean interior/exterior and has only 1 owner(saw the carfax). So what do you think guys? Is it worth it?

Will cost me about $4467 just to have a wagon shipped here in ILLINOIS...
I have to talk again to the guy if i can lower the price on the car and DAS if i can get discount for the shipping so i can lower the cost im gonna spend.

Thanks in advance!

4500 US dollars???? Or is that in yen or pesos? First off its an Automatic and secondly its only FWD.... therefore from what ive looked at the ads of wago. This is way over priced and you dont get to drive it or look at it with your eyes. Why are you so set on wagovan's? My suggestion to you is in all repect I would not get this car. I paided 3800 for my ef which was way too much and if was in pretty descent shape and everyday I look at it I think about how I could have bought a ef shell and dropped a b16a in it no problem at all for 3800$. I see ef's pop up around my area for 1,000-2,000 depending on condition and engine in it. Please continue to look and search don't settle for this over priced car.

If it was mint and awd with less than 100K, I could see paying that price. But for that.... keep looking, patience pays off.

Hey it's a classic now, but.... still a wee bit high. I'm sure somebody will pay it. It all really comes down to how bad YOU want it. It took me over 3 years to find a wagon for me...lololol -Later, BR

thanks for the replies guys now i made up my mind i wont get this car. i have prospect to be my project car if i dont buy this wagon from oregon. there is one of the junkyards here in IL that have a wagon brown in color but no engine, i remember the last time i went there it was in good shape exterior is complete with all the tailights intact as well as the interior. but i have to check it out again on sat. i'll take a picture of it so you guys can see it and tell me if this is worth to be a project car. thanks again!

Please Read The Rules

4. "What should I sell my CRX/Civic for?" or "How much is my CRX/Civic worth?" or "Is this a good deal/price?" "What would these parts be worth?"
5. "Which one is better EF or X car" or "EF; X car". Should I trade/sell/buy Car X for Car Y. "Would you buy this car?".
