3 inch would be ideal for the collector on but 2.5 to 2.75 inch would be fine so if you can find something like that.

I'm making decent power with my 2.5" exhaust piping. I really want 2.75" piping but the shop didn't have that size, so I went with 2.5" instead and never regret it.

3" is a bit much for a stock H22. However, if you are looking to do some big Hp mods or boost is in the future, then 3" is the way to go. I would say if you are going to keep it to a mild build with some head work/cams/intake & header etc..etc then a 2.5" would be more than enough. Stock is only 2"-2.25"...........Kteller.com or vrsexhaust.com make some reasonably priced, quality exhaust tubing kits & complete kits for the 4th gen.

Edit* Nus beat me to it while I was looking for websites....lol

I can help you with Exhaust Piping and header combo, please contact me directly; I dont want to press the issue by advertising on here...

If you go with 3" OD exhaust, then your ID will be closer to what you want vs going with 2.5" OD and having it smaller then that. We have found that 2.5" will work pretty much for exactly what you want.
