a buddy of mine put his on the front of the ash tray, he went to walmart and bought some velcrow, since he didnt have the little stand to mount it with.

 

fields vtec controller is a POS

 

my friend had his in place of his clock, until the POS broke!!

 

I just had mine in the open slot under stereo deck. Over one yr and still works pretty good. I actualy kinda liked it more then the Apexi VAFC which I have now - Fields was more user friendly I found. I just had to change coz with cams i needed more versatility

 

I mounted mine in the spot for the ashtray. Looks pretty clean that way....

 

Is Fields really that bad!?

 

it does not have all the capabilities of the VAFC. i don't believe it controls the injector pulse width (?) as well. for example, one friend with an ls vtec in a crx absolutely could not pass emissions with his fields, and another friend with a C5 in a 91 hatch passed on his first try with his VAFC, dropping %25 fuel all across the board. i think there is a reason for the VAFC's popularity and support. because it works.

try and return your fields and get an apex, or a hondata.

If ur car doesn't have extreme modifications it's pointless to throw on hondata or Apexi. Kinda a waste of money I think. Even with the Fields u can pass emissions if u lean it out extremely.

I dunno. I've used it for like 5 mos and had no probs. Parting out car now, so don't need it anymore.
