So ive never had a problem with this before. I just got gas and at first the door was hard to open, i had to pull in the lever harder than usual. Assume it was frozen. Now it wont close. is this a common problem? can anyone help me with this? thanks

 

the fuel door popper is stuck. the cable is sticking. my dx is the same way. i greased it and still does the same thing. only in winter tho. honda doesnt make that cable anymore so you could try a junkyard if you wanna try replacing it. i recently searched ebay and found nothing. unless a cable from an EG would work. i dunno tho

 

happened to me but the opposite way, my gas door wouldn't ope n for nothing i had to still a brush under the gas lever to get it open

 

ok i got a ls/vtec in a 96 ek hatch and i was wondering if anyone could let me know the best ecu and wiring harness to use on it so it could pass emissions

 

yea you guys are right. the cable is sticking cause of the cold. there must be some water or something trapped in there. i notices the popper releases slowly after a couple hours. damn efs

Hmm I don't get how the cable being cold correlates to the panel not closing. Isn't it just a hinge with a spring?

 

i had this problem on 2 different ef'ss

check the gas door itself.. that metal thing that hooks onto the popper

check to see if that is somewhat bent.. if so play around bend it till it is good to go

 

when u pull the lever to release the gas cap it pulls a pin out and the door releases. what happened is i opened it and it got stuck in. so I pulled it back out, bent the metal hook out a little also and so far its fine. probably until I try and open in again lol
