So i went to my old high school today and to my surprise, one of my teachers still has her CRX Si. The even bigger surprise is that the car now has 639,xxx miles on it, and is still mint!!! I couldn't find a scratch, sunfade, or tear on the whole car and it's all original! I believe she is the only owner and besides normal maintenance, everythings original even factory paint. Does anyone think there would be an interest in featuring this car in a mag or an article on the site??? I really think this dedicated honda and its owner definitely deserve to be displayed somewhere... anyone who can help me with this, please let me know asap!!!

how would a car with that many miles pull in $5000? I mean if the body was in really good condition it might be worth 3-4 but if you look on ebay CRXs just are not selling for that much.

There was a guy on there recently that had a restored 1st gen that looked beautiful but it did not pass reserve. He had over 10K into the resto job.

I saw an original b16 del sol once with 400k on it but the body looked like swiss cheese. The woman drove it everyday 80 miles each way to work, rain or shine, sun or snow to pittsburgh. I almost bought the b16 but the seller wanted way too much for a motor with 400k on it. could have bout one with 100k on it for a quarter of his price

here's some pics, i talked to her and the car only has like 540,000mi.(kinda hard to see through the window)but it's still up there. she's only ever done timing belts, a water pump, and she got a lifetime replacement exhaust lol. she did replace the factory clutch when she had the trans rebuilt at 485,000miles!!! and the mechanic apparently told her there was probably another 20,000 miles left on it!!! she complained that it was dirty and that she'd have to get back to me to get some more pics once it was all freshened up. enjoy!

Thats awesome! really a show of if taken car of that a crx can still be rust free if taken care of correctly. to bad most people didnt realize the cars they had back when they came out.
