Icon2 Looking for a good exhaust system, any suggestions?

I'm new to Honda-Tech. I have a 94 accord lx and was wondering if I could get some recommendations for a good exhaust system. I'm looking to get a full header exhaust. Not so much looking for the really loud and ricey type of sound but more of a low and clean cut sound. I've heard good things about both Borla and Magnaflow but I wanna make sure I make the right purchase.

How Quiet do you want it? There is the WS2 thats very quiet. Vibrant Flat blacks are louder but tone is deeper. There are many choices just check out youtube for sound clips

I have a 2.5" custom exhaust piping from the header collector to the WS2.

what kind of headers are you looking for, if you can get a set of 4-1 in there, they will build low end torque and have a unique sound, I'm rebuilding the one on my 86 with 2 inch stainless right now, I'm going to be running a porter muffler, they look like a glasspack, but have a much nicer non annoying sound, they are also built to last a long time, stainless steel packing, have a great aggressive sound when you step on it but quiet at idle, I've heard them in person and they sound awesome, I was hooked as soon as I heard one. I liked the sound so much I ripped out my four year old system I had built with the glasspack, and i'm redesigning a system now to use one. http://www.portermufflers.com

I have DC sport header from my old accord lx, if you want it let me know, no need to spend 345 dollars for header.

I also had the magnaflow it's not loud unless you're at higher rpms.

I may consider selling the magnaflow if you want it. send a PM

try and find mild steel if you want it to be quiet. it will absorb more noise than stainless

once the system gets coated inside over time, they will be about the same, but the stainless will last much longer. the ringing from stainless will only last for a short time

not really big on trying to throw a custom piping in there. what are your thoughts on a dc 4-1 header with ws2 cat back?

Megan Racing Header works pretty good. I had one on my F22B1 when I was still SOHC. It definitely made a difference; the tone of my exhaust definitely have a deeper tone to it too.

I think for now I'm either gonna go with a GReddy catback or Megan catback. they sound pretty decent and the megan catbacks are a lot cheaper.

i have a pace setter (when i bought it it was missing the resonator section so i'm running it w/o a resonator) but it sounds great! nice and quiet but sounds amazing when i get on it. a nice low sound and no rasp because it is a chambered muffler. a full cat-back new is $300 and i had their systems on my integra and my supra as well and i can vouch for amazing bang for your buck!
