passenger side down buy the glove box tucked away in that area there is a plug that has 2 wires going to it jump them together with a paper clip or something then count the check engine light.

correct jump that little blue connector out and watch dash gauge.

When i had conversion done i had a toggle switch wired in that i placed on dash to check codes. something i had thought of. I can still access the lil connector, but i had a pig tail wired in to a switch i mounted so all i do is Toggle

I did that and nothing.

Would the car being OBD1 somehow affect that?

Did you have the key in the ignition and turned to the 'ON' position (not running)?

What ECU jumper harness do you have?

My jumper has a male and female bullet connector that you can connect that will make the engine light blink

im guessing you bought this car with the motor work already done? depends on what ecu harness is used. my d15b swap i used a rywire jumper harness. with the rywire theres a blue and an orange wire you connect together to make the light flash on the dash. i have them wired to a toggle. now my obd1 b16 ef i used a boomslang harness which requires you to jump the blue service connector under the dash while turning the key on.

Look at obd1 side of the jumper harness and fine pin D4 and ground it. Turn the key to on position and check the cluster
