Default Starter moter replacement

I have a 98 accord 4-cyl. with 203,000 original owner miles. Should I go ahead and replace the starter since it is original? I't can't go forever and I hate to get stranded somewhere. I plan own keeping the car for many more years.

Replace it when it really needs replacing. All cars are different. Mine went at 166,000 miles but my car had been started multiple times a day nearly every day for all of those miles, or for 14 years. Your starter useage might be much different. Don't insult your quality Honda by replacing good parts on it. As for being stranded, these starters don't go out like that. Even when mine was failing I was able to give it a good whack with my tire iron and get it to crank the engine. I did that each day for over a week before I had a chance to replace the starter. Replacing it is a fairly easy DIY, although the bolts on it can be stubborn. Have some PB Blaster handy.
