J1 transmission, possibly LSD! need opinion
I just bought a J1 transmission and the guy claimed it was LSD. According to my research the J1 never came with LSD, BUT when i look through the hole where the axles go through, its a straight-through hole with no "bar" or "pin" in it, which means it is an LSD, correct? It looks like there is a smaller gear in the middle instead of the "bar". Its nothing like i've ever seen before.
i've got good pictures but i dont know how to post pics, when i hit insert image it asks me for a URL and i dunno how to do this :s help please

Ok, i understand that, BUT i've seen an s80 LSD transmission and its a hole straight through with the same diameter all the way through the hole. My transmission has what looks like a smaller gear in the middle with a smaller hole in it. It's hard to explain, i'd like to post pics but i have no clue how :S help please
Hey dude, here's how: hit no spaces in between anything. Or just look at how Nooch explained it to me on my suspension thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/my-91-crx-suspension-steering-brake-rebuild-2885765/ , I just learned how as well lol. Hope to see those pics soon! Oh and you get the URL by right clicking the pic and going to properties, then copy and paste the URL.

maybe it has an aftermarket LSD? its also possible to swap in the factory clutch type LSD from a Y1 but you also have to swap the counter-shaft since they have different final drive ratios
this looks exactly like my J1 which i just put in an obx lsd. Looks like an OBX diff to me but it could be a quafe or other good brand if your lucky. Check the link below
