RDX, Desire for an Intercooler Upgrade?
Hey Guys / Gals,
If there was an opportunity to purchase an upgraded intercooler for the RDX, Would you be interested?
Please post in here if this is something that you would like to see.
We are trying to determine if this is a worthy product to develop.
Any questions please email me at smarques@cp-e.com
Thanks!

I'd personaly like to see a rdx engine swap in a tsx or accord, went to the 2011 car show, I didn't realize that engine has 240hp! wonder what the engine would make with a fmic, injectors and a hondata upgrade? The factory intercooler set up in the rdx definitly is restrictive, I didn't like the design of the I.C ducting coming from the grill that they have mounted under the hood, and the I.C it's self is so small, the way they have it mounted, looks like heat soak would definitly be a problem in any hp.
hahaha I was just complaining why there isn't one out already!

Actually, it's not as bad as you think it is. That scoop works very well. The most restrictive part is the exhaust elbow from the turbo.
The piping on the IC is on the small side, but that exhaust elbow is worse.

Front mount would be a decent upgrade but would resale value would be trash, it isn't a cheap vehicle. I work for Acura and we just did a shortblock swap on an RDX last week, block leaked oil but couldn't find why, thinking it was pourous, so it got sent back to Honda to investigate. The turbo is pretty cool in itself, and the top mount itself is pretty efficient. I just don't see much of a market for a front mount.
as for the engine swap the k23 motor is its own beast its not compatable with a manual trans bellhousing only works with the auto, if memory serves me correctly its an RL trans. Also you guys at CP-E make quality stuff i would definatly put your parts on a car (and did in the past), although the RDX is not really geared to the performance market its one of those things that is better the way it is than it is all done up. How many do you see modified and the ones you do are just wheels and a slight drop with some audio stuff. From a business standpoint its a bad idea since the R&D going into it (like i know you do with all your products) just isn't worth the 5 people who are going to buy an intercooler.
