Icon2 funny brake setups

so i threw away my actual correct front spindle and put on a 90 civic sedan spindle

the part is totally different the disk is smaller and my caliper grinds the hell out of my rim.

so i filed the crap out of it.

and not my car pulls to the right. ( has nothing to do with the filing)

so im thinking the pitch or length isnt correct. but it really handles a shitload better ( even though u have to hold the wheel or u will careen of the road and die.) lol

so im thinking I dont really need huge brakes on that car that thing stops on a dime anyway.

heres a question for yall.

wouldnt a smaller front disk actually help performance due to less unspring weight? would it not even make a difference.

or would the fact that my right front spindle and disk is smaller that it is actually throwing of my balence at the front wheels?

could this be bad for the drivetrain or axles?

Default Re: funny brake setups

Get the correct - or at least matching front setup.

There are debates about which is better - larger or smaller - and you're right about the argument for smaller brakes being less mass. But in the end you'll still want them to match side-to-side.
