Default brake pad bedding question

this may sound lame to some of the people here but its just a thought i had. can you break in new brake pads while the car is on jackstands? like doing the 45 to 15 all those times without having to worry about other cars. would it work or does the weight of the front end need to be on the brakes?

Its much better to have all the monmentum of a real stop. By doing in on jackstands, your brakes would only be stopping the monemtum of the wheels which is probably insufficent.

Just do a few hard stops on your street. Your brakes are not that bad whenyou first put them on that it would be unsafe.

thats a pretty dumb idea (lol no offense) but think about it... as soon as you put any sort of pressure on the brakes the wheels would completely stop. you need the weight and momentum of the car to give the brakes a workout.
