Default car starts but dies immediately

ok so i have a 91 ef hatch that has been converted to obd1, it has a d16y8 motor in it. The car ran for about 3 days but it sputtered up until about 2000rpms, because the timing is off. But a few days ago i went to start my car and it cranked over and ran for about a sec and died immediately. i was told it could be multiple things. i replaced the alternator cuz it was bad, and still same thing, replaced the dizzy cuz the module was bad and the magnetic things inside were cracked i cant think of wut there called, also put new spark plugs in, new fuel filter and new intake manifold gasket, and yet the problem still persists, i have no clue as to what it could be now, im thinking maybe clogged injectors but im not sure, if you know anything or have had the same problem please tell me thanks, Kyle

Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key?

Check your timing. And fix it if its off enough it won't start. Or you could of bent valves do you hear a ticking. At all???

timing and if not that could be ignition switch. right after if fires up try not to let up all the way on the key and kinda keep it in between start and the run. ive seen that happen before

ok well i did the timing and still nothing, im guessing i should get the injectors checked to see if there good or not.

also found out that my ecu makes my buddys coupe idle at 2k rpms, makes his check engine light come on and makes a ticking noise in his engine, but ususlly his idles at 1k rpms no CEL and no noise

why would your buddy's car idle at 1000 when stock is 700? Also you should check your grounds as they're probably bad.

spark, fuel, timing. 3 things needed for a motor to run. stop randomly replacing things and get out your voltmeter.

lmfao im not randomly replacing things im going my the book, the stuff i replaced was bad, if your alternator or dizzy is bad your car wont run obviously, mine were bad, i timed it, its getting spark clearly if it cranks over and its getting fuel up to the fuel filter, thats why i need to see if the injectors are good or bad....

CKF, or TDC, CKP, CYP (in dizzy) or some other sensor, most of which are all contained in the distributor.. If you have the helms, check out the little sensors.. Those would be enough to cause the car to start but not run. If the sensors aren't bad, the wires to there are.
