G'day to all,

I am having to replace my drive axles on my '91 Civic DX, auto trans. I have read the excellent tutorial on how to do this, on this forum. However, I need help in identifying the number of splines so I can order the proper replacements. Some are listed as 23 splines and some as 26 splines. The car broke down 75 miles from where I live, and I have no way to determine the number of splines from where I am. I plan on replacing both axles. Is there a way to properly identify the number of splines without removing the old axles and counting the splines?

Any help, is greatly appreciated.

 

Get axels for a dx easy as that only the standered civic had the 23 spline. Also the crx hf use the 23 spline axle

 

yes, get the bigger axles. the smaller 23 splines were only on civic hatch std models and crx hfs

 

OK, guys, thanks for the info and advice. I plan on doing the work this weekend so I want to have the correct parts on hand.
