Default 07 Odyssey

Recently picked up an 07 Ody with 40k miles. Doesn't seem to be much activity on that year Odyssey (or any of the newer years) for that matter in the forums I have found.

Looking for tuning tips, upgrades, basic mods etc.

Coming from 6 years of Saab 9-5's...

Most owners don't do much other than wheels and tires. There are the exceptions, but not the norm. IMO, most of the chatter is about maintenance, DIY, and other ownership type of questions. Not so much mod this and that kind of threads.

I got a K&N drop-in filter. So there is my mod . May get some MDX wheels when it's time.

As far as I know, there isn't too much in terms of tuning. These things are known for power steering and tranny issues, so make sure you keep up with maintenance and keep an eye out for problems with these parts as they will be a pricey fix when it's out of warranty.

The only drop available that I know of is H&R, and these things can fit pretty big wheels and tires.

Here's my (my wife's) '07 on H&R springs and 19x8.5 et35 VMR 701 with 245/45/19 Pzero Neros

The thing I was hoping to see was someone that had fitted projector style fog lamps into the 07 model. See that projector style are available for 08 and up....

Retrofits, Wheels, Air Suspension and DIY lip kits. There isn't much Japanese support for the US Spec 04+ odyssey

the van looks sweet!!! do you have any problems in the rear when loaded....like rubbing?
and any steering problems?
cause after i dropped my van it steered to the right alot and i took it for an alignment and it went away but still feel that is pulling just a bit.

Not sure what trim model you have but along with the tranny and power steering pump, if you have the touring model, beware of the PAX tire system. My wife got our odyssey while i was away on business. Sales man didnt tell her **** about the pax system, just that she could drive 125 miles on a flat......sounds good to a women excited about a new car right? well, just got a nail in the tire the other day, turns out, only 2 places in vegas can change these tires (honda dealerships)@ 350 a piece not to mention the extra time it takes rather than normal tires, and you cant plug them due to the gel pack installed. so unless you plan on a wheel and tire deal, be ready to fork out time and money for this poor excuse for a run flat system. out of all the hondas ive owned this is the only that has dissappointed me...... so we traded it in and got a new pilot! didnt even look back. good luck tho

^^^^ Couldn't you have gotten some new wheels instead of trading it in? Good excuse to get some 18s or 19s.

I'm sure you lost out on the trade.

new wheels had crossed our mind but that thing must have been built on a friday. it has given us nothing but problems. now we just have to get some volks and bf all terrain TAs for the pilot! i was even going to buy OEM non pax wheels from the dealership but they wouldnt install them because honda wont let them due to the pax system....DUMB!

Thank you

Aside from having to pay the dealer $100 to wake and re-learn the new TPMS sensors, I've had no issues with the wheels/tires at all. I know of a few running 20x9 et35 apparently without issues as well, so relatively speaking, my setup now isn't all that aggressive.

No issues with steering either, just a slight vibration at 120 km/h. I think that has more to do with a shitty balancing job than alignment though.
