Default B16a i/h/e/c

I have a jdm b16a in my eg8.

Here's what i've done so far;

B16b camshafts
B16b valvesprings
Fidanza 3,4kg flywheel
ACT modified streetdisc
Denso iridium spark plugs
NGK spark wires
SRS 4-2-1 header
Tanabe hyper medaillon catback ( ITR )
Cat. replacer
stock intake/tb
B18c inlet + K&N filter ( from my old d15 )
Remapped with ECtune

it does 188.8hp on the crank, 163 on the wheels atm. But the power crumbles above 8000rpm with the occasional black little cloud comming out of the exhaust.

I'm planning on replacing the intake for an Edelbrock performer X and a Toda replica header. It seems to me the engine is running short on air?

But i can't figure out what to with the TB. Keep it stock? maybe an ITR one?
And how about my air filter? Blox? b18 K&N?

Before the b16b camshafts

After the b16b camshafts

You will benefit from an ITR TB, or even a larger one. Have someone fab up a 3 inch intake pipe for you and start around 40- 50 inches and chop it down from there (find the sweet spot that the motor likes). I personally would use a velocity stack instead of a filter, but thats just me. I am sure others will agree.
