Okay, after a little searching I found that the small wedge bulbs in the cluster and climate control are #74 and I have found those LED replacements. But what are the larger wedge bulbs that provide the backlighting for the gauges and the small twist-lock-in bulbs that shine down on the needles? This is for an 89 Civic btw.

 

Anyone? I went to the local pull your own parts junk yard and got a bunch of bulbs today to replace the burnt out ones for now, but I'd still like to find out which bulbs are what in the LED equivalents.

 

If yours has 3 large ones in back, they are 194 wled. But I used WLED-WHP5's for mine.....




These bulbs in particular have 5 led's per bulb assembly.

I just changed the three big ones on the back.....They are 194 type (at least on mine)

 

The bulbss took like 10 minutes to swap out.... lol it was the work done behind the gauge face that took forever.....lol

 

i know this is an old thread but it has false information and i wasted a lot of time with trial and error by having to buy these bulbs then send them back

pretty sure i used 5 74 bulbs(3 for the backing and 2 for overhead) and only 2 24 bulbs on my 1991 dx hatch cluster
