Honda/ tuning/ diagnostic/ informing Android apps
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but I've been limiting myself to the all motor section and would like to keep it that way if I can.
I just picked up the tmobile G2 and have seen some different apps pertaining to hondas, obd scans, and other misc automotive things
Couple I have found myself are:
Honda Automotive Database- has all info on engine specs, tranny specs, ecu id's and codes
Easy obd2 lookup (self explainitory)
Motor Trend News- up to date automotive news
Autozone- look up and order parts from phone
Jegs- just a parts catalog on your phone basicly
Garage Buddy- has many options including, compression, displacement, and hp loss at altitude calculators and much more I haven't had the time to use it all
Honda Clock widget (self explanitory)
Anyways there are a ton of these apps and to make it easier I figured the people who have these android phones could share these honda/automotive related apps here

Knew that was coming, as said I only put it in here to avoid the idiots in the other subforums that are much worse
Its relevant anyways what's the issue?
Ain't like I'm asking how to put triple stage vtec on my 1.5 lol

PLX Devices makes an OBD2 wifi connector called Kiwi that turns your ipod/ipad/iphone into a crazy monitoring tool. I found this the other day and thought it had potential...

. You said yourself this is probably not the best place to put it and you are correct. There is nothing wrong with this thread and that you want to share information, it's just in the wrong place. The AM forum is a technical forum, so try to leave it at that. This probably best belongs in tech/misc.
They have a nice program for the iphone its constantly advertised at the top of ht
Think its called otc??
Think iphone apps and androids apps aren't usable on the other
and I already explained why I put this thread here, if mods don't like it they switch it, quit crying please there's other threads in the AM forum that you should be playing police with

well in a way this is tech. its a new tool to help you do the tech work. it could go either place.
i'll wait for a windows phone to come up with some good ones.

That's how I looked at it, its tech-related
I've found a really interesting program I plan to purchase call "torque"
It use a obd2, bluetooth, and plx adaptor to hook up to obd2 cars and includes data logging, dyno, speedo, 0-60 times, obd san and other stuff
Costs 5 bucks not bad I think I might try it out once I can find a cord

I'm missing how any of these are 'tech-related'; you listed informational apps and catalogs. IF you want to talk about tuning-related apps, OBD scanning apps, datalogging, etc (as others have mentioned), then yes, I could see how this would have been ok in the A/M section. However, it is better served here anyway as those are all tuning tools and don't relate at all specifically to one type of engine build, model build, etc.
Besides the tuning stuff which is more available, there are some which can assist in mechanical work
The autozone app has access to all their wiring diagrams, firing orders, timing settings, etc
All which I find myself having to drop everything and run to autozone sometimes and no I can jus look on my phone.
Another being the garage buddy app, it has a carb flow calculator, corner weight calculator, tool size conversion charts, tap drill size chart, metal gauge charts, and many other things I find constantly take me from my work to have to look them up either in books or computers and I now have them all in the palm of my hand
If it was strictly tuning stuff, I would've just put it in tuning.
