Default ef9 battery dies overnight

what up people have some issues with my car so i had a single came zc in my car and i had athe issue of my battery dieing overnight and it started to happen when my passenger seat belt was stuck when i got it unstuck my seat belt/door indicator was light and it never went away i had that annoying noise or beep i should say but i just disconnected it at the rear view mirro by the way the car is 1990 civic. so i ended up not really dealing with it because i didnt have a problem with disconnecting my battery everynight until it got a little tireing things started to go bad like my alternator and starter and in the process of doing that i thought maybe it had nothing to do with my seatbelt. still had the same problem endeed up doing a swap cuz that one blew and i still have the same probelm. i did a parasitic draw test and i came to the conclusion that i do have a parasitic draw test and its in my brake tailights/ door/seatbelt system. i have checked the wiring and could not find any connections wrong or cut nothing so im in need of help to diagnose this a little better any suggestion would be great im getting tired of having to jump start my car or push start it every morning thanks

try cleaning you door switch. There is a right up in the FAQ. It will most likely fix the door and seat belt problem. I had the same problem my battery would only die some times and my dome light would only work some times to. along with my alarm when I would open my pass side door the alarm wouldn't go off some times. Cleaned both the door switches all problems fixed and battery never died since

If you have the knowledge to do a parasitic draw test and also the tooling.....a DMM and you have it narrowed down to which circuits you simply need to break the circuits down into sections and do voltage drops across those sections. I would have to assume that if the lights arent staying on where you can see them all the time you're going to have a short to ground before the load. If you know which circuits they are and did a PROPER parasitic load test then this should be a cake walk for you......How many AMPS is your draw pulling?

Very Helpful...

Anyways, that stupid light is on almost every ef I see n 5 of the 6 that I have owned. The last hatch I owned had the same exact problem ur having tho, drain overnight. I did the same test as u n isolated it down to that circuit. It turned out it was the broken housing that holds the lil inertia ball that locks the belt in the seatbelt retractor, causing a constant connection in there. So since I didn't have another whole seatbelt mechanism I just unplugged it n that fixed the drain. I would unplug that n see if your draw disappears, if not start unplugging the other components on that circuit til your amp draw drops. Hope this helps
