ok so i will be painting my hatch during this semister of paint class and i havent decided wether i want to paint the hood the same color of the car or have it black. respray of the car is going to be championship white trim is going to be black so lips, skirts and rear cover under wing is black too. lets hear your opinions on the hood only please (bay is staying black too)

 

IMO black would look really silly.

 

why do you wanna paint it black? Why not just get a CF hood or just paint the hood the same color as the car

 

i've seen the two tone look before (hood and roof) but there has been only a few times where i thought it looked good.

 

I vote black chalkboard paint.

I did a black mix a while while ago, i really enjoyed it. It looks nice, but it just depends on your taste. I don't believe it's trying to achieve a "carbon look" that is silly. Same thing with a black lip, it just offsets the colors. Go for it.

 

I'm on a budget and I don't want to go to the extreme I just want it to look good

Do you have any pictures of it I have one but it is of a riced out hatch with a crappy body kit

looks tacky to a ceertain extent. when ever I see white cars and black hoods reminds me of a Police car. just paint the car one color.

 

Heres my car with a black hood. I picked up some carbon fiber fenders awhile back and from far away the hood and fenders blend in together. I'm now going to repaint my entire car including the hood lol.

i would keep it all the same color. whenever i see a car with body parts that aren't all the same color i always think there was damage, and the owner is too cheap/lazy to have it all repainted the same color.

 

i say go for it. i love the panda look especially with cw. im actually thinking of doing the same with my hatch and hood. post pics to whatever u decide
