i just got my d16z6 installed into my crx this weekend, and i am having problems with the idle. it will fluctuate from 800-1100 when sitting at a light or not going anywhere. it smokes a bit sometimes, and feels like im driving a v8 with a big ol cam....anyone give me some tips towards correcting this problem? its pre obd and i dont have vtec hooked up yet. anything i could do to help the lean a/f ratio during vtec?

 

check your vacuum lines, I bet the ones going to the MAP and other spots are not where they are supposed to be. Mine ran like it was a V8 and smoked black smoke, ruff idle and no power, switched the lines and remembered to hook one up and it idled fine and ran great with power.

 

anyone have a diagram of how they are supposed to be hooked up?
